a Message From Dan
The
Mad Dog Ride to Heal is a 3500 mile bike ride by me (Dan Diviney) and
Mary Pipolo from Seattle, Washington to Huntington Station, New York.
We are using the ride as a catalyst to raise funds for research to
eradicate cancer, in loving memory of my brother Mike. We wanted to
ride across the country anyway and this gives us a great opportunity
to raise money for and awareness about cancer research. Twenty five
years ago, Mike died of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma -- a disease that
today would most likely be cured. Researchers are making huge strides
each day, week and year to better understand and fight cancers. The
Ride To Heal Foundation was created by Tom Monks four years ago
in memory of his own brother. It is a perfect vehicle for us to raise
money for two very worthy entities devoted to cancer research. They
are Dr. George Bosl at Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital (Mike’s
oncologist) and the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation. We have
no employees, administrative or operational costs – everything is
covered by volunteers.
100% OF THE MONEY WE
RAISE WILL BE SPENT FINDING CURES FOR CANCERS.

How To Give To Our Cause |
This year, the Ride To Heal Foundation will conduct one ride from
Seattle, Washington to Huntington Station, Long Island from July 30th
to Sept 8th, 2012 to raise funds for cancer research.
100% of the money donated will go toward lymphoma and breast cancer
research.
Dan
Diviney and Mary Pipolo will be riding 3500 miles over 40 days and 40
nights, in memory of Mike Diviney, who died of non-Hodgkins Lymphoma
25 years ago.
Tom
Kuntz (Mike and Dan’s cousin) will participate in the Ride for the 40
days, driving the support van and taking care of the bikers.
Mary, Tom and Dan and their sponsors will cover all of their expenses
for the trip, so
that 100% of the money raised will go toward finding a cure for
cancer.
